1. 

Application of Terms

1.1 These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern all services provided by TCO Logistics Ltd (“the Company”, “we”, “us”) to the customer (“the Client”, “you”).

1.2 By booking or accepting our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1.3 For all transport and haulage work, the Company operates strictly under the Road Haulage Association (RHA) Conditions of Carriage 2024, which are incorporated herein. A copy is available on our website and on request.

2. 

Services Provided

2.1 We provide road haulage, logistics, and related consultancy services as agreed in writing with the Client.

2.2 Any variation from the agreed service must be confirmed in writing by the Company.

3. 

Quotations & Charges

3.1 All quotations are valid for 14 days unless otherwise stated.

3.2 Prices are based on the information provided by the Client at the time of quotation. Additional charges may apply for delays, waiting time, or changes in requirements.

3.3 Unless otherwise agreed in writing, all charges are exclusive of VAT, which will be added at the prevailing rate.

4. 

Insurance & Liability

4.1 The Company holds Goods in Transit insurance in line with RHA Conditions, covering up to £1,300 per tonne (gross weight) for loss or damage.

4.2 Additional insurance for higher-value consignments is available on request and must be arranged prior to collection.

4.3 The Company’s liability is otherwise strictly limited as per the RHA Conditions of Carriage 2024.

5. 

Client Responsibilities

5.1 The Client must ensure that goods are properly packaged, labelled, and fit for transport.

5.2 Any Dangerous Goods must be declared in writing prior to booking and must comply with ADR regulations.

5.3 Adequate access for loading/unloading must be provided. The Client will be responsible for any delays or additional costs caused by inadequate facilities or unsafe conditions.

6. 

Payment Terms

6.1 Payment is due within 30 days of the invoice date unless otherwise agreed in writing.

6.2 The Company reserves the right to charge interest on overdue invoices in line with the Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act 1998.

6.3 In the event of non-payment, the Company may exercise a lien over goods until payment is received in full.

7. 

Cancellations

7.1 Any cancellation must be made in writing.

7.2 The Company reserves the right to charge for work already undertaken and any costs incurred due to cancellation.

8. 

Force Majeure

The Company shall not be liable for any delay or failure to perform due to circumstances beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to extreme weather, road closures, strikes, accidents, or breakdowns.

9. 

Governing Law & Jurisdiction

These Terms, and any contract formed under them, are governed by English law. All disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.

10. 

Incorporation of RHA Conditions

The full RHA Conditions of Carriage 2024 form part of these Terms and take precedence over any conflicting provisions relating to carriage of goods.


Refund & Cancellation Policy – TCO Logistics Ltd

We aim to provide reliable and timely services. If you need to cancel or amend a booking, please notify us as soon as possible.

  • Cancellations – Cancellations made more than 24 hours before the agreed collection time will not incur a charge. Cancellations within 24 hours may be subject to a cancellation fee to cover costs already incurred.
  • Refunds – Refunds will only be issued where payment has been made in advance and services have not yet been provided. Once goods are collected, no refund will be given except where we are at fault.
  • Claims – For loss or damage, our liability is limited to the standard RHA goods in transit cover of £1,300 per tonne, unless additional cover was arranged and confirmed in writing before transport. All claims must be made in writing within 7 days of delivery.
  • Non-Refundable Costs – Any third-party charges, ferry costs, tolls, or additional cover arranged on your behalf are non-refundable once booked.

This policy forms part of our Terms & Conditions and is governed by the laws of England and Wales.
